Facilities & Faq's

Already booked ?

Once booked your welcome email contains login details for our Guest Area. Here you can find a helpful video about the facilities at the cottage.

Below are some commonly asked questions and answers.

If you can not find the answer to your question there then please get in touch with us, we will be more than happy to help.

Booking is through our agent cottages.com only as they control the diary for the bookings. Please visit the Pass the Keys website to enquire about availability.

Yes there is a minimum of 2 nights, depending on season and availability. Please visit the Pass the Keys website to enquire. However if you are a guest and have problems booking an additional night (if the cottage is available) and cottages.com cannot help you please contact us direct for guidance (please note that we cannot take any advance bookings direct however).

Arrival is after 4pm and departure is by 10am.

Storage of suitcases etc. before and after arrival / departure is not generally available as we have a tight schedule getting the house ready for guests and we obviously wish to avoid causing any inconvenience to the next guests who will also require the keys. It may sometimes be possible to accommodate some extra time, we would ask you to contact our housekeeper just before or during your visit to confirm if this is possible to arrange.

Parking is limited in the Old Town but parking is available short term (up to one hour) on the streets nearby and there is longer short term (up to four hours) pay and display parking in the Old Town at the Market Street Car Park (the entrance is off Market Street near the Lifeboat pub). Longer term options are available a short walk away, these are shown on your arrival details which we send out by email a few days before your stay. For more details on parking please visit Thanet Council’s website.

Please see our links from this website for suggestions. We update these on a regular basis based on both our own and our guests experiences and recommendations. New places open all the time so if you visit somewhere fantastic that we haven’t listed then please do share it with us and also our future guests! There is also a welcome folder at the cottage which has many suggestions too.

There are hairdryers, ironing board and iron and a coffee maker at the cottage. If you need a cot or pet beds please enquire before your arrival. We provide you with fresh towels, duvets, duvet covers, pillows and pillow cases. If you are staying for a longer break a washing machine and a tumble dryer are available at the cottage.

We aim to keep you as cosy as possible but appreciate not everyone likes to be the same temperature. We have reconditioned vintage radiators upstairs which can be controlled with thermostatic valves and underfloor heating downstairs set to a comfort level but which can be controlled by a room thermostat if required.

There is an induction hob, electric cooker, microwave and fridge. Plus all the other things you would expect to find in a home kitchen.

Our TV works on the internet only, so catch up TV. We have free wifi throughout the cottage. There are also books and DVD’s if you want to spend some of your break relaxing at the cottage.
